Goodbye, Kuala Lumpur (for now); Hello, Yangon
When I booked my flight from Kuala Lumpur to Yangon (Myanmar), I had to choose between flying out early in the morning or late at night. Since I’m a morning person, I chose the early flight at 6:45 a.m. But, perhaps, I should have done the math on that. Once you take into account getting to the airport 2 hours early and the trip to the airport, that means barely going to sleep at all. So I started my day already exhausted.
At least the flight went smoothly, and by the time I was in Yangon, the excitement of being in a new place took over, and I got a second wind. I was able to go out exploring for a little while before I was forced to crash at my hostel. The hostel – the Lil Yangon Hostel – was a very pleasant place to have as a landing pad.
